Our Mission
Legal Education Advancement Project (LEAP) seeks to raise awareness of social issues through a legal framework aimed at philanthropic ends. Immigration, prison reform, equal opportunity in educational spaces, voting rights, and numerous other matters have become pressing issues in our contemporary society. While these issues may seem complex for students, we hope to provide a space to learn about and discuss the function of law in addressing current social issues.
Through partnerships with local organizations and activities like court watching, rights training, petition writing, volunteering, and fundraising, we will help students turn legal interest into action, embracing the mantra that legal knowledge should not exist in isolation from the communities it affects.
